Care of Your Magnetic Signs
Storing Magnetics:
- When not using Magnetic, keep it in a clean dry place.
- Store on a flat surface to keep creases from developing.
- Store with vinyl side up.
Preparing Magnetic Surfaces:
- Before placing magnetic sheet on a metal surface, be sure all surface paints, clear coats, and waxes hardened.
- Clean the surface and the magnet with a mild detergent.
- Wipe with a soft cloth and allow to dry.

Applying Magnetics:
- Apply magnetic to a smooth, flat or gently curved metallic surface.
- If you place the magnetic in a wrong position, completely remove the magnet form the surface and reattach it.
- Do not pull the magnet across the surface.
- Avoid use on the horizontal surfaces exposed to direct sunlight with temperatures exceeding 150 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Be aware that long term use on surface exposed to sunlight can result in uneven fading of the surface because the magnetic covered area is shielded for the sun.
Cleaning Magnetics:
- To guard against moisture and dirt buildup between the magnet and the metal surafce, remove the magnetic at regular intervals.
- Clean both the magnetic and the metal surface with mild detergent.
- Wipe with a soft cloth or allow to air dry.For vehicle mounted magnetics, remove and clean weekly.
- To protect fresh clear coat, base coat and/or vinyl surfaces in new cars and trucks, remove magnetic signs daily.
